WSTRA Call for Board Nominations
The following WSTRA Executive Committee offices are scheduled for election for the next board term. Please review the responsibilities of each and then be proactive by running for an office in our Association. Become a WSTRA leader!
President-Elect
- He/She will be elected by their peers to the position of President-Elect for a one-year term.
- During the year term He/She will assist the President, keep informed regarding the proceedings of WSTRA and perform any duties that are assigned to him/her by the Executive Committee.
- Before the end of the one-year term, he/she will arrange as many committee appointments for the upcoming year when they are President.
- Total commitment = 3 years: President-Elect, President, and Immediate Past President
Nominating Committee (one Chair and two additional members)
- Identify potential candidates for open Board positions from the list of eligible members as identified by the Treasurer and the Membership Chair.
- Confirm that all nominees provide written consent and a biographical sketch before their name is placed on the ballot and then present the proposed nomination, consent and ballot forms to the executive committee for review and approval.
- Inform the WSTRA membership when the voting is open/closed, count the votes, and report the results of the election to the President.
- Chair of the Nominating Committee communication: submits an activity report to the secretary prior to each executive committee meeting, drafts a report for the WSTRA newsletter and presents an annual report to the membership at WSTRA’s annual meeting.
Secretary (two-year term)
- Keep permanent records of the minutes of all WSTRA business and executive meetings.
- Keep permanent documentation of WSTRA education events.
- Specifically: Agenda, Documentation of CE credit approval from NCRA & AHIMA, Attendance (sign-in) sheets, Submit minutes for approval at the following meetings of the respective groups, Conduct official WSTRA correspondence under the direction of the existing committees and their members. Such correspondence shall be prepared and presented in the manner prescribed by the bylaws.
