Scholarship

WSTRA has two scholarship funds that are a benefit to its members.

1. Willie Butcher Scholarship:   This scholarship is available to members who would like financial assistance to attend the WSTRA educational meetings. The scholarship is awarded twice a year for the spring and fall meetings. The award amount is $200.
    

2. CTR Exam Scholarship:   This scholarship is to promote the CTR credential and is available to WSTRA members who have applied to sit for the examination. The award amount is the current examination fee.
   

Scholarship Guidelines

Those interested in the scholarship must submit an application prior to the WSTRA Spring and Fall meetings. One name from those submitted will be randomly drawn by the meeting coordinator and witnessed by one other person. The winner will be announced at the meeting and published in the next issue of the WSTRA Newsletter. You need not to be present to win.

Qualifying Guidelines

1. Open to all active members.

2. May be used for cancer registrar continuing education, WSTRA or NCRA sponsored meetings, and for sitting for the certification exam for cancer registrars.

3. May win only one time in a five-year period.

4. The Treasurer will coordinate with winner in dispensing the scholarship.
